In the Apocalypse, Rome will become a harlot during the last days. Satan will be released for one final assault on the Church.
Saints prophecy that Rome will lose the Faith and antichrist will sit in the chair of Peter as an antipope.
Freemasons boast about infiltrating the Catholic Church to the papacy, knowing Catholics will be “blindly” obedient to a Masonic “pope.”
Pope Pius IX condemns liberalism in all its forms.
Pope Leo XIII condemns Freemasonry. Composes prayer to St Michael to protect papacy from the enemies (particularly Satan) of the Church to be said after Holy Mass.
Pope St Pius X, the greatest pope in 500 years since Pope St Pius V condemns Modernism as the synthesis of all heresies.
One of the greatest Marian apparitions ever, Fatima, says that the Great Chastisement will happen between 1957 and 1960, and for the “pope” of 1960 to reveal the 3rd Secret.
In 1958, a very weird event happened with the conclave that elected Angelo Roncalli as John XXIII to the papacy, who had previously been on Vatican record for many years for suspicion of modernism.
John XXIII calls an Ecumenical Council having no anathemas and undoes traditional Catholicism, refused to read 3rd Secret of Fatima, eliminated the St Michael prayer, changed the mass, and deleted several prayers and many feast days of the traditional calendar.
In 1963, another odd conclave that elected Paul VI, who had previously betrayed Pope Pius XII with his relations with the Soviets. He was also another liberal/modernist.
Paul VI seals the Council and changes all 7 sacraments and does away with the greatest Mass of Pope Pius V and establishes his New Mass, which resembles the mass of Luther and Cramner.
After the month reign of John Paul I who took the name of his two predecessors and died a mysterious death, John Paul II was elected.
John Paul II travels the world visiting the world’s pagan leaders as he sometimes participated in their worship services.
He apologizes for the sins of the Church against everybody in history.
He beatified John XXIII.
John Paul II is hailed by the whole world as a great leader, and praised by Protestants, Jews, Muslims, and Freemasons.
He never mentions or references Pope St Pius X’s documents against modernism, in his Catechism of the Catholic Church.
After his death, his right-hand man Ratzinger is elected taking the name of Benedict XVI.
Like John XXIII, Ratzinger was also on record for suspect of heresy.
He begins the canonization process of John Paul II.
Benedict XVI is on record saying the documents against modernism are obsolete.
At present, the whole history of Catholicism is forgotten as a distant memory of an age gone by as the new religion of Rome leads the brave new world.
Sedevacantists (informed Catholics maintaining the Catholic Faith in the underground Catholic Church) condemn the modernism of it all as they attempt to spread the historic Catholic religion at the contempt of the whole world starting with Rome.
And there are none so blind as those who will not see.
That’s perfect: in a nutshell! Thanks for this excellent brief – it is a perfect encapsulation of the historical background and where we are today.
I agree with Gloria–They have eyes but do not see, Ears and do not hear..God have Mercy on us all, it seems to be getting worse by the day…..Excellent Steven, Thank you, as Gloria said it’s an excellent brief…Joe.M.
“John Paul II travels the world visiting the world’s pagan leaders as he sometimes participated in their worship services.
He apologizes for the sins of the Church against everybody in history.
He canonizes John XXIII.”
John Paul II did not canonize John XXIII.
Thanks for the correction. I fixed it now. It should be beatified rather than canonized.
What is your take on “Francis”?
Francis is the next step of the ongoing apostasy. At least his apostasy is out in the open. Nothing is hidden.
Mr. Sperey,
Can you please give me documents of popes defining liberalism and what are the forms of liberalism. I don’t agree with American conservative politics, and I want to make sure that I am not a liberal. I will repudiate any stance that the a Church condemns.
Thank you
Two good church documents you need for starters are the Syllabus of Errors by Pope Pius IX and Mirari Vos by Pope Gregory XVI. Try these first.
You said John XXIII, among other things, “eliminated the St Michael prayer.” Who brought it back? Was it Benedict or Francis? In my diocese we say the prayer of St. Michael at the end of every Mass.
SPERAY REPLIES: No one brought it back. Your priest probably does it on his own, but it’s not required.
Hi Steven – do you somewhere in your blog elaborate on what was “weird” about the conclaves that elected John XXIII and Paul VI? Thanks..
I haven’t. I know about the white/black smoke issue in the 1958 conclave but the same thing also happened with Pope Pius XII’s conclave from what I understand. What were you thinking about? Thanks!
Thank you for that – I wasn’t thinking anything in particular, I only was looking for more info on the conclaves you described as “weird” and “odd”….I completely accept and expect that weird and odd things may very well have happened due to Masonic/Communist/etc influence, and I simply was curious to know any specifics about these conclaves..
Secrecy keeps us from knowing too much.
Fr. Martin’s idea that the “Third secret” would fill confessionals and Churches didn’t seem to happen am I missing something.?
That’s because it wasn’t revealed, right?
“John Paul II did not canonize John XXIII.” but the Lutherans did! They actually did, look it up, it’s amazing. The last Pope was Pius X all the rest were Modernists.
I’m not trying to create an argument by asking this, but weren’t all the Popes since John XXIII validly elected by the Magisterium and that what we have today since that time are “Rogue” Popes rather than just that there is no Pope? As I see it if there is no Pope validly occupying the Chair of St Peter then the Magisterium must be invalid, but what legitimate authority determines the validity of the Magisterium? I ask these questions b/c I’m really concerned about my salvation and quite frankly I’m tired of all the bickering and fighting going on amongst us Traditional Catholics (I’m a former member of the SSPX who’s now pretty much a stay at home catacomb Catholic). As I see it Jesus wants us as one sheepfold under his one Holy Apostolic Catholic Church with the incumbent occupant of the Chair of St Peter as the holder of the Keys of the Kingdom.
Great question, Brian. John XXIII through Francis were not validly elected because they were not Catholic to be validly elected. The papal office exists but empty at this time. What authority determines the validity of the Magisterium? The Catholic Church through papal teaching, Scripture, and Tradition have told us what the authority is. Therefore, it can’t contradict itself. If the magisterium tells us that Mary is without sin, then tells us later she was a sinner, then we know something is wrong. What authority would we need to tell us that the magisterium that says Mary was a sinner is not really the magisterium? We can only go by what the Church has already told us. This is the situation we are in today except the so-called magisterium today has reversed the Catholic teaching on religious liberty, the nature of the Church, communicatio in sacris with non-Catholics, etc. Either the so-called magisterium is not the magisterium or the gates of hell have indeed prevailed. There’s no other way around it.
If everyone who called themselves Catholics would only obey the teachings and laws of the Church, there would be no bickering. To say Francis is pope knowing that he rejects the Catholic faith openly is not obeying the teachings and laws of the Church.
I’m glad to hear that you left the SSPX.
